My cohorts — the groups you belong to

My cohorts is a personal page for teachers (mentors) and pupils: it shows who you are in Realsmart and the groups you belong to, and — where your school switches it on — your timetable. It only shows your own information. Admins don't have this page; they use the Groups area instead.

Where to find it

My cohorts is in the left sidebar, in the block at the top that has no heading, next to My profile. It only shows while you are working in your own school — if you've switched to another school, it isn't there. Observers, governors and admins don't get it.

The Overview tab

My details — your Username, Forename, Surname and Email. For your profile, see View your profile.
Cohorts I belong to — every group you're in at this school, in name order, each with a badge showing your role (Mentor or Learner). Deleted groups are left out, and so is any group with tof in its name (the "Teachers of" groups the sync creates). If you're in none you see You are not currently a member of any cohorts.

For teachers

Each group has a Members button. Select it to open the pupils in that group — their name and username, surname first (active and protected pupils only). A group with no pupils says No learners in this cohort.

If your school uses the Smart Parents app, there is also a Send notice button on the group, and one beside each pupil, that starts a parent notice for that group or pupil. See Add a parent notice.

The Timetable tab

The Timetable tab only appears when your school has switched on timetable for the Smart Parents app (the Timetable visibility switch in Smart Parents settings).

It shows My timetable for the next four weeks — use the Week 1 to Week 4 buttons. Each day lists the lesson times, the class name, and a Room badge; pupils also see the teacher's name. The lessons come from your school's MIS (Wonde or SOS), so you need to be linked to the MIS for them to appear. If there's nothing for the week you see No upcoming lessons found for this week. Lessons are kept for about 15 minutes, so a change in the MIS can take a little while to show.

If something is missing

No My cohorts in the sidebar — you're an admin, observer or governor, or you've switched to a school that isn't your own. Switch back to your school.
A group you expect isn't listed — its name contains tof, it has been deleted, or you aren't a member of it at this school. Ask an admin to check the group's Members tab.
No Timetable tab — your school hasn't switched on the timetable setting. Ask an admin.
Timetable is empty — you aren't linked to the MIS yet (no MIS id on your account), or the MIS has no lessons for those weeks.
