The new admin area, reporting a bug, and switching between v1 and v2
We've rebuilt the admin area, and the new (v2) admin is now where you land by default. You don't need to turn anything on. If you ever want the classic (v1) admin back, it's one click away — and whichever you choose sticks against your account.
The new admin area is your default {#step-1}
When you sign in, you land in the new (v2) admin automatically — no opt-in, nothing to switch on. This is the default for everyone.
Switch back to version 1 {#step-2}
Prefer the classic admin? In v2, select Switch back to version 1 (bottom-right of the page). A short prompt asks what you couldn't do — this is completely optional. You can:
- Submit and switch to v1 — sends a report (flagged so the team knows it came from someone switching away) and then takes you to v1.
- Skip and switch to v1 — takes you to v1 immediately, no report sent.
Either way, you land on v1 straight away — the prompt never holds you up. Where v1 has a direct equivalent of the v2 page you were on, you're taken straight there; otherwise you land on the v1 home page. Your choice is remembered against your account, not just this browser — so you'll stay on v1 until you choose v2 again.
Back to v2 {#step-3}
Switched to v1, or followed an older link onto a classic page? A quiet Back to v2 icon sits near the top of any classic page, so you're never more than one click from the new admin — you're taken to the matching page where one exists, or the v2 home if there isn't a direct match yet.
Report a bug or missing feature {#step-4}
From anywhere in v2, select Report a bug at any time. A short form opens where you can describe what happened and, optionally, attach a screenshot or a file (up to 5 files, 10MB each). The page you're on, your account, your school, and the time are captured automatically — you don't need to explain where you were. Select Send report and you'll see a confirmation once it's on its way to the team. If sending fails for any reason, what you typed stays on screen so you can try again or copy it elsewhere — it's never lost.
