An audit trail of every media file uploaded, edited, or deleted on your school website.


Overview

Smart Media Logs records who uploaded, modified, or deleted media files in your WordPress media library. This gives school administrators visibility into media activity — useful for safeguarding reviews, troubleshooting missing files, or auditing content changes.

Smart Media Logs works automatically once installed. View logs at MediaSmart Media Logs.

Where to find it: Media → Smart Media Logs

Shows a paginated table (50 entries per page) with:

  • Media file name and type
  • Action (upload, edit, delete)
  • User who performed the action
  • Date and time

Tips & Best Practice

  • Review logs periodically as part of your website safeguarding audit.
  • Use logs to identify who uploaded a file if there is a concern about its content.
  • Logs are stored in the WordPress database and retained indefinitely unless manually cleared.
